When Wanda put out a call for volunteer help in the office 9 years ago, I answered. At the time I was newly retired from 35 years teaching elementary school. Volunteering in a church was something I had always wanted to do in my retirement years. I had recently rediscovered my Episcopalian roots so this was a real Godsend! My experience and training provided by an extremely skilled mentor (Wanda) has been challenging and very rewarding. I’m excited to continue to serve this magnificent church as part time financial secretary! I promised my 4 amazing grandchildren that Grandma/Papa Day (supported by husband, John) will still be on the calendar 3 days a week and that my new position will really be an extension of what I’ve already been doing!

I’m looking forward to continuing to serve the church that I love so much.
